BERGSTRAND CONSULTANCY
The Circular Economy is coming. From EU and Californian regulations to the material crises facing our value chains, fashion and textile professionals need to understand how to create for the Circular Economy.
Bergstrand Consultancy have created an effective framework, delivered in a half-day format that helps designers and product teams change their thinking ensuring the brands they work for are ready for the future.
The rich and immersive workshop emphasises the importance and benefits of moving to a Circular Economy, and provides practical training so participants have all they need to begin the transition as soon as they step out of the workshop.
From the EU, California and New York introducing circular economy laws, to the climate and virgin material crises that our value chains are facing, there is a need to transition from our linear take, make, waste default towards a circular reduce, reuse and recover future.
The ‘Circular Economy Action Plan’ states that EU will be a circular economy by 2050 and requires brands to comply to continue selling in Europe and other lucrative markets
With the incoming legislation, all designers and product developers need to understand how to design for the Circular Economy
Brands that begin preparing for the circular economy legislations now will have their collections and supply chains prepared for the future
Our circular design framework is built on a foundation of over 10 years of designing at top-tier brands including Saint Laurent, Celine and Givenchy, and trusted by industry leaders such as Our Legacy, Toteme, A Day’s March and Filippa K.
We keep the theory to the minimum and emphasise practical exercises that bring circular principles to life, ensuring straight after the workshop your team can apply what they’ve learnt.
Previous participants have learnt more in half a day than in days of off-site courses or weeks of online training.

Set the base styles for all headings and text elements across your site.
To set the styles for root HTML tags, open the selector dropdown for each element type and select the corresponding HTML tag option.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Styling the rich text element works a bit differently than other elements. While there's no base tag for rich text elements, you can customize base tags for elements within a rich text element as long as the parent rich text element has a class.

You can also create global color swatches for your site to keep recurring colors consistent across your site.
For example, you might use the same "neutral gray" on element text, backgrounds, and borders — creating a global swatch for that gray allows you to change it once and update every instance where that swatch is applied throughout your site.

You can also create a standard set of classes and combo classes for your site's link and button elements.
